Urban Buddy offers a variety of NDIS services tailored to individuals with disabilities. However, the following are some of the common services provided by us:

URBAN BUDDY CARE

In home care:

We have been providing in-home care in QLD successfully for some time. We address the following tasks for individuals with disabilities within the comfort of their own homes.
  • Assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Help with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general household maintenance.
  • Help with household tasks like cleaning, including changing bed sheets, making beds, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning kitchens, dining areas, living areas, and bathrooms.
  • We can help take care of your yard by mowing the lawn and doing basic gardening tasks.
  • Providing therapeutic support, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech therapy.
  • Medication management.
  • Enhancing independence and daily living skills.

Community access NDIS:

We provide community access care that supports individuals with disabilities to facilitate their participation in community-based activities and events.
  • Access community transport to community-based events, clubs, social gatherings, and recreational activities.
  • Community access to workshops or training sessions aimed at enhancing social skills, communication, and independent living abilities.
  • Support to attend cultural events, educational programs, or visits to museums, galleries, or libraries.

Mental health care:

We provide NDIS mental health care that is person-centred and aims to empower individuals to manage their mental health while fostering independence, social connections, and overall well-being.

URBAN BUDDY FARM:

We provide NDIS farm therapy, which involves individuals with disabilities or special needs interacting with animals and gardening, often in a farm setting, as a therapeutic tool to improve their physical, emotional, social, or cognitive functioning.

URBAN BUDDY HOUSING:

Urban Buddy is moving toward becoming an NDIS approved housing provider that will offer shared accommodation options for people with disabilities in Queensland, Australia. Our variety of housing options will be designed to meet individual needs and provide a safe and supportive environment. In the meantime, Urban Buddy Care have teamed up with registered providers to ensure your needs are met.

Who is eligible for NDIS?

In Australia, eligibility for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is determined based on certain criteria. To be eligible for the NDIS, an individual must meet the following requirements:
  • Age Criteria: The individual must be under 65 years of age at the time of their initial application.
  • Residency: The person must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa.
  • Disability Criteria: The disability must be a permanent or significant impairment.
  • Early Intervention Requirements: For children under the age of 7, they may be eligible if they have developmental delays or disabilities.
